Genesis “the Mayor” Torres

Genesis Torres is an international artist, Placemaker, and is known for his curatorial role in Coordinates: Ice Pac, the Shadowbox, Sacramento State Public Art Map, National Juried Printmaking Exhibition: Aspiring Artist and IMPACT: Organic Flux. His artistic practice involves the printed surface in a multi-disciplinary approach to address urban decay, social practice, and abstraction. While attending California State University, Sacramento, he is the project developer of the Sacramento State Public Art Map, is the founder of IMPACT, and was the President of the Print Club. He is a member of the California Society of Printmakers, Southern Graphics Council International, and had a curator residency at Faith J. McKinnie Gallery and California State University, Sacramento.
